Browserless
Hosted headless Chrome you connect to from Puppeteer or Playwright, with REST endpoints for content, PDFs and screenshots.
- Developer API
Node.js library that controls Chrome or Firefox through a high-level API, often used for rendering and screenshots.
Puppeteer is a Node.js library maintained by the Chrome team for controlling Chrome or Firefox. It talks to the browser through the DevTools protocol or WebDriver BiDi and runs headless by default, which suits servers and scheduled jobs.
Teams use it to render pages that depend on JavaScript, take screenshots, generate PDFs, fill forms and read the resulting page. Many hosted browser services accept Puppeteer connections, so a script written locally can later run against cloud browsers with small changes.
Puppeteer is JavaScript only, and its API is close to the browser itself, so you write the waiting and retry logic yourself. If you need Python or several browser engines from one script, compare it with Playwright before you start a large project.
Not enough info yet on developer API, browser extension, free plan or free tier, returns markdown for LLMs. Check the tool's own site.
